Also involved in motor sports!

Whether at the football pitch, at the local shooting club or in the promotion of young talent, logos of various sponsoring partners can be found almost everywhere these days. We do not close our eyes to this topic either and attach great importance to the local as well as the personal reference when selecting sponsoring partners.

That's why the NORTHCOMP° logo is now emblazoned on the sides of the Mitsubishi Evo 8 of the Beckmann rally team. Since 2018, the father-daughter team has been taking part in national and international events and has since been able to achieve several placings among the best 3 overall.

As a small digression for those who have not yet heard of it: In contrast to "normal" racing on the circuit, such as Formula 1, a rally takes place on normal closed roads and forest tracks. The participating racing cars are not on the track at the same time but usually start in 1-minute intervals. The drivers are only allowed to inspect the special stages (this is the name of the section of the track that is driven at race pace and where the time is stopped) at normal speed a few hours before the start, and to make their "write-up" while doing so. The write-up will be read out by the co-driver afterwards at race pace and will indicate how the track will run and what curve radius the driver can expect. The race cars are divided into different classes depending on their performance and characteristics. Normal street cars are not allowed here.

The first event with the freshly stickered car took place at the beginning of the year at the rally "Südliche Weinstraße" and was finished with the 9th place overall. Before the Corona stop, 6th place overall and 5th place in class were achieved at the "Kempenich" rally. After the long break, motor sport is now slowly resuming, so that the next events are planned for September at the rally "Cimbern" in the far north and at the rally "Buten un'Binnen".

We keep our fingers crossed for both of them and wish them always a handful of gasoline in the tank.
