The additional planned expansion at the Hückeswagen site comes just in time. In the last few years, we were able to gain additional customers due to the good economic development. However, our warehouse was also not expandable due to further logistics improvements. With the purchase of an adjacent plot of land, we are now optimally equipped for the future at the Hückeswagen location.

Creating sustainability has long been an important part of the proroll company philosophy: It was therefore only logical that proroll should implement its own solar energy system in order to also harness the power of the Bergisch sun in the future. On the huge area of the warehouses and assembly halls of the Hückeswagen headquarters, 180 solar modules were installed, which form the supply basis of a new solar energy plant that delivers 59KW of energy. This is enough to supply proroll throughout the day - and beyond.

A quality test is good... endurance tests are even better! That is why extensive endurance tests of various articles have been running in the brand new proroll test centre for a few weeks now. Here, modern test machines now complement the extensive quality assurance management at the Hückeswagen site. In the new test centre we verify the products of our suppliers, regularly update our own test data and determine the technical properties of our own products, developments and innovations. //

Yes, you can expand the hall...that's why 1,600 square meters are now being added. What began with a manageable stock of a few boxes and cartons has now developed into a success story. Today, 22 permanent employees generate a turnover of around 10 million euros. With an export quota of 32% and business activities in over 30 countries, the name proroll is known throughout Europe and even beyond in countries such as the USA and Australia.

In 2008, the cramped situation in Industriestraße is no longer fun; the increasing component assembly in Hückeswagen requires more space and the outsourced storage capacities are inefficient and cost-intensive. In January a new transport roller series is released...and proroll breaks ground to combine administration, assembly and warehouse in a modern domicile.

proroll develops from a trading company into a manufacturer. The company's own tools are used to manufacture its own base crosses and apparatus rollers at home and abroad - this means that quality standards can be set right from the design stage. A second area is added to the product portfolio. Chair and furniture components are now added.
The product range has been intensively revised and realigned in recent years. The new focus for products and customers is now the furniture industry and shopfitting.
After taking over Reinhold Kohn's shares, sales manager Stefan Fornahl becomes managing partner in 1991. Turnover has already more than doubled. The difficult new start only five years earlier has given way to dynamic growth - up to DM 1.8 million!
The successful changes are also to be made clear by a new company name. After the name had already been used as a product brand before, there is now also the company "proroll" officially...soon after, the Fornahl family takes over all business shares.
While snow is once again being shovelled in the Bergisches Land, it is time for a change at proroll - the move to larger premises. From 1989 onwards, 600 square metres are available for the wheel and castor range in an old car workshop. The company's first major growth spurt takes place at this location in the following years.
